As well as being a loving pet and family member, Buddy also has an important job to do. He visits the students at Catherine McAuley College to help them get through their more stressful days. He recently spent the day calming the nerves of students as they received their vaccinations.

Buddy is very chilled and loves pats and cuddles, he goes from friendship group to friendship group during lunchtime and has a unique ability to calm anyone who is patting him.

Catherine McAuley College may be leading the way, but as awareness grows, an increasing number of schools are recognising the emotional benefits that support dogs provide to students during times of heightened stress.
